It's rather `g_path_skip_root` in https://github.com/geany/geany/blob/master/src/build.c#L1243 which removes `c:` (or `d:`) from the URI passed to the browser. I justed on Windows with Firefox that passing the path root will work and it does. So we could just remove `g_path_skip_root` on Windows (on non-Windows systems it should be OK) to resolve this issue. Maybe this introduces other issues as side effects of this change, so it needs some testing.
