@elextr they probably didn't notice or bother because it's not a terrible bug either, it "just" doesn't bring the window in front, which would also happen if Geany was slow enough to react so the user could have done other interaction in between.
Regarding my workaround, I read somewhere (after) that it should at least work on GNOME Wayland because the compositor there will use the same here as x11, that is monotonous milliseconds. Not sure if other compositors would work the same or not, but I guess it wouldn't be worse than the current status -- well, unless it leads to illegitimate focusing, but as we only do that on explicit user action it should be good in any reasonable situation. -- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
