Afraid I have no idea what is different except the version of xorg and maybe 
GTK and maybe options they use, I am using a LTS distro, but Arch is bleeding 
edge.

Don't know, possibly xorg docs might help, one would think there is a way to 
limit it?

"nothing to fix" is short (pun intended) for "cannot reproduce, so cannot 
debug, so cannot find a fix, and so cannot test any fix that is found" ;-)
