Essentially removing somebody's template `yyyy/mm/dd` and replacing it with your `yyyy-mm-dd` is in general rather rude. Just because you may not use a particular template does not mean it is not used by those in other parts of the world, and so it is inappropriate to replace someone elses with yours. Your correct approach is to add yours without removing the existing one.
