rovf left a comment (geany/geany-themes#71) #8a532d is for me very hard to read. #e4d3c7 and #ebdfd8 look equally well for me, but both suffer in that i.e. the parentheses in the gboolean declaration in your example are nearly invisible. If you could make the syntax element for them darker.... ?
