Slightly off-topic but to answer this specific question: we have automated nightly builds of the current GIT master version at https://nightly.geany.org/debian/, packages as Debian packages. You could try to install these on Linux Mint. With a bit of luck the Debian Trixie or Debian Bookworm packages might be compatible.
