ralf3u left a comment (geany/geany#4257) I would like to change the name of the shortcut from "Toggle Sidebar and focus" to "Toggle Sidebar and switch focus to Sidebar". Argumentation for the change: 1. The shortcut name "Toggle Sidebar and focus" could also be used for the Geany shortcut "Toggle Sidebar" because when sidebar is enabled and when the content area of the sidebar is in focus, by pressing the shortcut "Toggle Sidebar", the focus is switching from the content-area of the sidebar to the content-area of the editor. 2. Focus is not toggling but switching.
**For users and developers** If users would like to use the shortcut or if someone wants to fix this issue (I'm not a software developer, so I'm not able to do that) then maybe it would be good to have a look at the Geany plugin Preview (https://github.com/xiota/geany-preview). Since last month the shortcut is part of the plugin.
