VinzSee left a comment (geany/geany#4373) I'm bumping this thread, not knowing if there's been any progress. I have delayed upgrading Geany to version 2.1-2 (versioning typical to Manjaro Linux) until I was compelled to. I've kept it at version 2.0 so far. However this regression is really annoying as it scrambles the _beginning_ of the term, instead of properly clearing the end (as shown in the animation). All I can say is scintilla is not even installed on my system. I have completely cleaned my Geany profile and cached data to start afresh. No change.
