hello @mrkn and @kou -- since writing in https://github.com/apache/arrow/commit/a66ab10aaf6570e2ebfe7b3e0b5ca2b5e2716cfe#diff-a875fc42afdc43ec7979e3b49e27626d the expression classes in arrow/datasets have been made more "private", so I think it's fine for this work to proceed with the understanding that there will be some churn when it comes to building filter expressions. The reason for the churn is that it must be possible to build filters that involve arbitrarily complex array expressions (possibly even involving user-defined functions) that will be executed by the kernels framework project that I have taken up in the last month. ---------------------------------------------------------------- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
