No because this error blocks the package from completing `R CMD INSTALL` as it dies on the final 'can this be loaded?' step. And I am not building the underlying C++ libraries. I dialed everything optional down and it still died on me _on that old box_. Which is sad as that is where I test all CRAN rev.deps so I have to exclude (R) `arrow` for now. Related question: something I re-discovered (and I think once knew but then the set was smaller) is the artifacts at jfrog.io. With those I can build (on another system, or in Docker) but what I get is ... suboptimal.
