Sorry if the request in https://github.com/apache/arrow-rs/issues/2096#issuecomment-1187615806 is unclear. It is boiler plate language. In plain English it means I am asking you all to re-ensure that you had the legal right to make contributions to this repository. For example, that if your employer required permission to contribute to Apache/MIT licensed open source projects, you have their permission to do so. I don't expect this will be a problem nor do I expect you will need to take any action (as I expect any required permission has already been obtained). However we are giving you notice again in case there are issues or concerns that need to be addressed. To be clear, this request is part of the donation of this code to the Apache Software Foundation in my role as Apache Arrow PMC member. We are am doing the diligence work to try and ensure there are no questions as to the IP rights of this software.
