# Which issue does this PR close? Closes #2870 This is my first contribution :) picked an issue looked simple but hopefully there isn't more to it and I am not missing something. Tried to write unit tests where I saw appropriate. Most of the logic is already tested under `Expr::cast` and this change exposes a dataframe function for it.
