`ColumnCloseResult` is currently defined as
```
type ColumnCloseResult = (
u64,
u64,
ColumnChunkMetaData,
Option<ColumnIndex>,
Option<OffsetIndex>,
);
```
Not only is this type alias not public, but it isn't immediately apparent
what fields are which.
