I need to get back to speed with the current architecture before I can help
with this review. I won't have time to do that until this weekend,
unfortunately.
It would be good if we had a doc in this repo with the architecture we are
working towards to make sure we are all on the same page. I can maybe try and
start that if nobody beats me to it.
