   I was just brainstorming a bit. I think it is certainly fine to limit to a 
single example here (and indeed the others could be nice for a cookbook). But I 
personally do think the numpy `gcd` is a more compelling example than the 
affine one, since that last one can be easily expressed with composing existing 
arrow kernels.

   This only comes up in the part about working with datasets, I think? So the 
rest of the PR is certainly already useful. It _would_ be good to not document 
the private `_call`
