I also checked to make sure this did not interact with reticulate's signal handlers ( https://github.com/rstudio/reticulate/issues/1248#issuecomment-1256157987 ), and made sure that polling the `StopToken` in the exec result reader didn't cause performance regressions (I don't think it did, but one can check the link above to see if I missed something).
