I just tried DuckDB for the first time and I liked this syntax:
```
CREATE VIEW nation AS SELECT * FROM
read_parquet('/mnt/bigdata/tpch/sf10-parquet-float//nation/*.parquet')
```
This is much easier than `CREATE EXTERNAL TABLE`.
