I was working on this earlier, but the issue is that you can't tell the difference between intentional exceptions (to return an error to the client) and unintentional exceptions. What I plan to do (.......someday........) is to separate the two similarly to gRPC: returning an error to the client is an explicit operation. That might happen when I eventually go redesign things for async operation, which has also been long requested.
