   @kou - we are working on implementing these changes, but we wanted to check 
with you about integrating your suggested C++ template approach into 
`mathworks/libmexclass`.
   
   From a copyright attribution standpoint, would you like to make a pull 
request to `libmexclass` yourself with these changes (**Note**: this would 
require you to sign a [MathWorks 
CLA](https://github.com/mathworks/libmexclass/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md))? Or, 
would you prefer if we just made the changes ourselves (without any further 
explicit attribution)?
