   Hi all,
   
   I've encountered this same issue in work we're doing to convert data to 
parquet files as part of our data pipeline. I'm curious if any progress has 
been made on a resolution? Much like @cboettig , we're unable to pinpoint 
exactly what causes the SIGPIPE error.

   We first encountered the error in deploying arrow to Posit Connect, but 
subsequently encountered the error when knitting locally.
