# Which issue does this PR close? Closes #5779. # Rationale for this change Sort `fields` field on `Schema` struct before returning to the caller to have a consistent result across different data format. - Performance Sorting takes some time but considering the fact that Schema does not get generated all that often, and it is unlikely to have millions of columns, I believe the impact is limited. # What changes are included in this PR? `Schema::try_merge` is wrapped with `fn merge_and_sort_schema(schema: Vec<Schema>)`. This function sort fields by it's name after merging the given schema. # Are these changes tested? TODO # Are there any user-facing changes?
