Out of curiosity, do you already have a time frame when a (bugfix or major) release of `pyarrow` will happen next? I discussed this on the NumPy community call and nobody minded delaying the NumPy release for a bit. So I think we are fine with that, there is at least one more NumPy RC coming anyway soon.
