It seems that the issue was introduced by this [commit](https://github.com/apache/arrow-datafusion/commit/7d774481aedc027b7f68226b2c3a4fc0db959fc2#diff-932cfd7271917561280a69edabb35cfd109d22ae736f77e85adcf63455918121) on the main repo of datafusion.
