So the idea here is that any action via the dbapi will begin a transaction if one doesn't exist? Sqlalchemy in contrast to the dbapi has an explicit `begin():` context manager that makes this clear, so maybe something to consider for a future enhancement -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
