I was planning on waiting until CRAN actually published the package (they haven't quite yet), just in case more changes were needed. Although, it might be a good idea to do so sooner than later to make sure it can be incorporated in the next ADBC release (I imagine it will take time). I also wonder if a less obtrusive change from Snowflake's end would be to create the directory when it's first requested (rather than at DLL load). That would mean I can set the env var from R when the package is loaded (rather than requiring a user to set it before loading the package). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
