Review Comment:
P.S. Those memory numbers do not include memory allocated by the Arrow C++
layer for the record batches, which in this example is about 3.2 GB because
they are stored in memory.

I'll try another example where I stream them in from an IPC file on disk to
keep the overall memory footprint very small.
