I have been taking a somewhat brute force approach to this, by simply reducing the cadence of releases. This isn't necessarily ideal, but it does somewhat avoid this issue. I think the key to making this work, is to devise a minimally intrusive process where we can still make breaking changes, but still maintain path releases.
