Like you I never saw any C line numbers in Cython-generated tracebacks. It seems that an [additional setting](https://github.com/cython/cython/issues/4425#issuecomment-1962724472) is involved, which is off by default, so Cython was really generating unused information. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
