Once the vote happens and it becomes "official" I'm going to mark all of my PRs ready for review and then they can be merged. I think the overall design is mostly solidified at this point so it should be fine to begin working on other language implementations. The Rust and Go PRs should be a decent reference for how to go about implementing the change in Java. Most of the discussion has been around how to effectively document the change in the spec, and the possibility of versioning the protocol to help clients and servers handle protocol changes and improve their error messaging around client/server incompatibilities. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
