I don't think we're comfortable using static binaries from another project, we'd need to build from source. (Also, it doesn't avoid the problem with gRPC: in fact mixing statically linked gRPC in one package with the shared gRPC library in another package was one of the more reliable ways to have mysterious crashes in my experience.) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
