One other nuclear option is to spawn a sacrificial process for each driver that loads the driver and communicates with the main process over some sort of IPC/shared memory, which at least for the data parts should be relatively OK as Arrow's shared memory support shapes up -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
