Hey @pvardanis, unfortunately I ran out of available time after this. But since then I've come to the conclusion that we just can't feasibly wrap gRPC's API surface (async included) and that it would be better to expose gRPC so that you can directly use all of its APIs, which should mean that you wouldn't be blocked on us.
