Hi all! We've created a draft PR that includes the foundational Avro writer implementation, focusing primarily on the Arrow schema-to-Avro schema generator, along with planned updates to the Avro codec and decoder. Currently, we're finalizing alias support and adding UUID logical type support in both the codec and the record decoder. Once that work is complete, we’ll mark the draft as ready for review. I anticipate that we’ll have this remaining work done by the middle of next week. In the meantime, we’d greatly appreciate any informal reviews and feedback if anyone has the bandwidth to take a look 😃.
