Bumping this with a comment and I also put this issue in the 20.0.0 milestone so we address it. I'm in favor of us keeping the CHANGELOG.md file, backporting older changelog entries to make it up-to-date, and fixing the post-release scripts so we merge the change back to main to update it. It's a bit of work now to fix it but little/no work to continue updating it. @kszucs mentioned on Zulip we can re-generate the entire changelog but may have issues with releases prior to the GitHub issues migration so that's something to be aware of. The last release in the changelog is 6.0 (2021-11-18) and I know the GitHub migration was after that. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
