I've posted a very minimal POC using meson-python to wrap the arrow CMake C++ subproject via a symlink in https://github.com/apache/arrow/pull/45854. Not everything is yet working and criticisms are welcome. I am not familiar with the entire history of the current build system, so I haven't yet bothered to replicate every keyword without knowing if we want to continue them all in the exactly the same manner -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
