I think there were some conversations on bumping to 4.2 but I might be mistaken. cc @nealrichardson @jonkeane If we follow the policy we have (which is inline with [the tidyverse's policy](https://www.tidyverse.org/blog/2019/04/r-version-support/)) we can drop 4.1 when R 4.6 is released (early next year). Though FWIW, this isn't an issue with the version of R, we happened to catch it with this job because IIUC this is the only job that runs an old(er) version of GCC to keep us to our documented version of GCC support. There was [some discussion](https://github.com/apache/arrow/issues/45718) about bumping the required GCC to 8, but IIRC that's not reached consensus yet -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
