Thanks for this @zanmato1984. I don't know if we have any other examples docs like this (markdown sitting next to source files) but the idea is interesting. What do you think about moving this into the main arrow docs like @raulcd pointed out. While it's lower-level than most of the other docs in the C++ user guide but we have at least one precedent for such lower-level docs with the Acero [Developer's Guide](https://arrow.apache.org/docs/cpp/acero/developer_guide.html).
