You might try to open a ticket at [protobuf](https://github.com/protocolbuffers/protobuf/), perhaps the developers there would be able to explain why that happens exactly (I don't understand why the static variable would be "shared" between the two private protobuf instances). Sure, that's also what I'm thinking now. Maybe it could be a common issue in protobuf instead of a special one here.
