The net result is if the python wheel is packaged with openssl it will "work" and if it isn't it won't. This is likely why some versions of deltalake appear to work and others don't, but whether relying on out of spec behaviour really counts as working... I personally think packaging with rustls is perfectly fine and the onus should be on Microsoft to fix their certificates (or people to stop using Microsoft's duck-taped monstrosity) but that is a judgement call for the relevant parties to make. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
