@Benjamin-Philip you may want to post on the dev@ mailing list (see https://arrow.apache.org/community/) where the different maintainers can chime in. IMO, an Erlang implementation would be welcome. You could use arrow-experiments, or possibly we could create an arrow-erlang. There are other implementations outside of the monorepo and indeed we have been breaking up the monorepo over time (Java, Julia, Rust, and Go are all outside the monorepo now). I or another committer could help merge PRs (if not necessarily review them), and I believe many contributors have started with a language implementation and eventually become committers themselves. There is no real guide, but I think if you plan to upstream things, then PRs to add direct support in Archery would be welcome. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
