I have no objection to loosening the restrictions on Path further, provided someone is willing to do the legwork to make sure there aren't unintended consequences - IIRC certain characters cause GCP to be unable to list objects in the bucket with the XML APIs 😱 With regards to adding a check method, I think that might be very difficult to do in practice - what paths are valid ends up being filesystem specific, the only reliable mechanism to know if a file is valid for the given filesystem(s) involved is to actually create the file... -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
