I agree it is not intuitive, unfortunately the arrow specification is what it is. The docs provide links to mechanisms by which you can get the SQL semantics you desire, and there are also plenty of examples of using them to this end within arrow-rs and datafusion. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
