Aah in which case my guess is that the totally random data (see [here](https://docs.rs/arrow/latest/src/arrow/util/bench_util.rs.html#36-52)) is not very amenable to the dictionary encoding that is enabled by default. I'm not sure if the fault here lies with the benchmark or the writer, it isn't exactly the most realistic benchmark 😅 -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
