Ok, I was wondering if it was something like that. Assuming it is that issue, would you like to file new issues for (1) improving the error message and (2) considering whether to implement a fallback read path? (I'm not necessarily sure if (2) would get done but it's worth discussing, albeit I would say it probably is worth encouraging users to enable BigQuery Storage wherever possible, but sometimes getting things working at all trumps getting things fast) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
