Arrow doesn't even have a filesystem path datatype built-in, and this is the first time I see such a feature request. Adding the necessary C++ code for this in Arrow just for the sake of a (presumably) niche use case in Pandas seems a bit exagerated to me. @jorisvandenbossche @rok Thoughts? -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
