This is initially promising, but I think we will want to wait for Meson 1.9.0 to be released to use it in CI, which will be soon. Seems like `auto_features=enabled` is cascading down to arrow which we don't want. 1.8.0 fixed that, but also has some conflits with gcovr, so we are pinning meson <1.8.0 in CI.
