Review Comment:
   I kinda like my idea for copy in double each time to reduce the amount of 
memcpy calls.
   
   Need to benchmark again to see if it is faster than extend from slice 
multiple times
   
   although in term of SIMD, all of the options I tried did not used SIMD 
[GodBolt link](https://godbolt.org/z/jjeo3habP) but this a way to reduce the 
number of calls to `memcpy` logarithmically
