I am unlikely to have time to review this code and I suspect it would be hard to maintain (aka it would be hard to accept into the arrow-rs repository) unless we had a maintainer that committed to keeping it going I do think given thta avro is a row format, using a JIT'd parser would likely offset speedups we can't achieve with a vectorized approach However, JIT code is notoriously hard to debug and maintain in my experience, and we have had a hard time using / keeping up with the rust frameworks that provide such a thing Please don't let me stop you, but I am just trying to avoid leading you on Maybe a prototype would be worth while. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
