Actually after I added this change (and got a successful build) I couldn't reproduce the issue anymore even without this change. Even cleaning up the repo and rebuilding it from scratch doesn't seem to cause the linking issues anymore. So I'm starting to suspect that the original error was somehow related to some stray cache -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
