>From that documentation it looks like SAP might be creating their own proprietary SQLDBC layer that the ODBC driver and others are built on top of. It might be nice to dive a little deeper into that, but the documentation suggests that is sadly only for internal use Just for the record: There is a specification of the hana protocol available [here](https://help.sap.com/doc/63cef00e229b4010be06cfa01e1d338b/2.0.03/en-US/SAP_HANA_SQL_Command_Network_Protocol_Reference_en.pdf).
